Hey, Black Seattle!
Building pathways to belonging for Black people across the Pacific Northwest.
Hey, Black Seattle! is a cultural platform and community-rooted ecosystem dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and amplifying Black life in the Puget Sound region.
Founded by Kiesha in 2023, it was created to challenge harmful narratives, highlight opportunities for connection, and foster a stronger sense of belonging for Black residents throughout the Greater Seattle area. In a region where Black presence is often overlooked or misunderstood, the platform exists to help people feel rooted, supported, and seen.
Through engaging experiences, community connections, and cultural infrastructure, Hey, Black Seattle! strengthens relationships across communities while supporting Black-owned businesses, community organizations, and cultural spaces. More than increasing visibility, the work is centered on building meaningful relationships through intentional, community-driven design and intentional use of technology for good.
