About Charles
I met Charles Edwards Sims Jr. when I joined the Time Consumer Marketing team back in 2002 and since then, he has been an incredible mentor and influence for me. Charles has touched the lives of so many people across the organizations and community spaces he has entered throughout his life as a self-proclaimed "60-year-old Late Bloomer."
Charles grew up a melancholy child, with the question "Is this as good as it gets?" echoing in his mind. He swept up the ashes of painful experiences and used them to mold a life built on hope and the deep will to make change in the lives of many.
